Quote #154, My Thoughts and YOUR thoughts

I love Quotes. I love them because they make me think. What does the quoter mean? Why did he/she write this? Is there a message to get through to the reader/the world? What did YOU initially think when you read it?

Here goes blog quote #154....

"Books can't make you a good fisherman, but they CAN make you a better one."
- Fisherman's Saying-

As an avid reader, this quote lit me right up. The cool thing about this quote is you can substitute almost anything for the word fisherman. Change it to writer, salesperson, traveler, tennis player, gardener, and on and on.

Books teach. You can't do it all by just reading. You have to APPLY what you learn through repetition, practice and experience. That's how improvement in anything takes place.

The great thing about life is that there have been many people to go before us and try things. And there are many experts willing to share their knowledge of how to do "whatever". Why re-create the wheel? If nothing else, theres probably a 'Whatever for Dummies' available somewhere?

That's my view...... What Say You?

Different way at looking at or way of learning.
It is odd that I learn by watching & have troubles learning by reading.
Take what you have read & use it to make you a better person or worker.
