For all you KNOW IT ALL's...

Blog quote #734...

"People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do."  -Isaac Asimov-

Isaac is in direct opposition to Coach John Wooden's quote "Its what you learn after you know it all that counts."
While Wooden is spot on, we still find humor and a chuckle in Asimov's sarcastic comment here.
"A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest of men." At least that's what Willy Wonka used to say

A Great REMINDER-- on what we Possess

Blog quote #733...

"Do not spoil what you have by desiring  what you have not; but remember that what you now have, was once among the things you hoped for."  -Epicurus-
Sound familiar anyone? Certainly resonates with us.
Let's all remember to enjoy and focus on what we DO have and not always wishing for what we don't have. A message on being contentWorth some time to ponder...

Brilliant comment on INTEGRITY

Blog quote #732...

"If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters."  -Tom Yoder-
This statement is pretty self explanatory. I always thought integrity and trust are 2 of thee most important components of a relationship. How about you?

One of Life's Great Secrets...

Blog quote #731...

"One of the secrets of a continuous happy life is continuous small treats."
-Iris Murdoch-
My two Labrador retrievers would clearly agree with this, 1000 percent. Well maybe my wife too?
Upon a second reading of this quote, perhaps there is more here than the levity above suggests. Life truly is made up of small little pleasures, and incidents, and 'treats' along the way.
Sure each of us have our challenges and hardships as well, but if we can enjoy the simple pleasures that occur daily, right under our nose and in our back yards, it truly is one of life's recipes for joy.
Anyone else agree with my doggies or Iris?
