Isaac is in direct opposition to Coach John Wooden's quote "Its what you learn after you know it all that counts."
While Wooden is spot on, we still find humor and a chuckle in Asimov's sarcastic comment here.
"A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest of men." At least that's what Willy Wonka used to say
