Quote #83, My Thoughts and YOUR thoughts

I love Quotes. I love them because they make me think. What does the quoter mean? Why did he/she write this? Is there a message to get through to the reader/the world? What did YOU initially think when you read it?

Here goes blog quotes #83....

"Swallowing angry words is much beter than having to eat them."

-Honor Books Inc.-

Wait a minute. Isn't this quote redundant? Swallowing and eating go hand in hand, don't they?

The quote is actually a funny play on words. Ironically, I took this quote to say.. "Don't SAY angry words and statements". Did your mom tell you more than once, as did mine, to "Bite Your Tongue"? And how about.. "If you dont have something nice to say, don't say it at all?" Thank you Mom, for that exemplary piece of wisdom.

Many times when we spout off and say things we really didn't want to say, we "eat them" later. Other times in anger, HOW we say things doesn't come out properly either, causing more unwanted meals of literature. Sometimes, when frustrated, the old advice to count to 20 before speaking is prudent counsel. It may just save us from another meal of words we didnt want to eat?

That's my view....... What say YOU?
