Quote #109, My Thoughts and YOUR thoughts

I love Quotes. I love them because they make me think. What does the quoter mean? Why did he/she write this? Is there a message to get through to the reader/the world? What did YOU initially think when you read it?

Here goes blog quote #109....

"Cheap is expensive in the long run."
-Gretchen Rubin-

Here, here Gretchen. Sometimes when we are SO DRIVEN to find a steal, a bargain a deal.. do we forget about the quality of the purchase? Then, soon after, when the product goes bad/ wears out/ breaks down, we are sent back to re-purchase, and all of the sudden, CHEAP becomes EXPENSIVE.

There is an old adage I once heard that rings true 1000% for me. It goes like this...

"Price. Quality. Service. Pick any 2 of those 3 that you like." You will never, ever, be able to get the best of all three. Something will have to give. Well done with your quote, Ms. Rubin.

That's my view....... What say YOU?

I totally AGREE! This falls right in line with "you get what you pay for"...author unknown (to me anyway). Or "Penny wise and dollar foolish".....or how about "cant see the forest through the trees". Seems to be a form of short-sightedness no? And, interestingly enough...it might sometimes be a tad "fear based". Our cheapness that is. Living with Sufficiency is the way to be. To learn more about that, read Lynne Twist's "The Soul Of Money"...it's a great book!

Much Love & Laughter to all who play here!

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!! I own an optical store and when it comes to eyeglasses this statement is sooo true! Eyeglasses sit on your face for sometimes TWO years and many people have only ONE pair. And if you then buy a "cheap" pair.. in the long run you will have to spend more for the upkeap...Broken parts etc. You DESERVE to have good vision and a beautifull face and an eyeglass frame that is not going to fall apart!
