Quote #94, My Thoughts and YOUR thoughts

I love Quotes. I love them because they make me think. What does the quoter mean? Why did he/she write this? Is there a message to get through to the reader/the world? What did YOU initially think when you read it?

Here goes blog quotes #94....

"Spend time with those you love. One of these days you will either say "I wish I had", or 'I'm glad I did."

-Zig Ziglar-

Boy, does this pack alot into 2 short sentences. Bullseye, Mr Ziglar

Can anyone disagree? Did this trigger off lightbulbs in anyone's head? The key word in the quote is T I M E. We all have the same amount of it each day. We all have 24 hours and we all have 1440 minutes. HOW we choose to use those minutes and hours is up to us.

Personally, I am having dinner with my father this weekend. We'll celebrate his 4199th week on this planet. I'm also planning on as many golf rounds with my dad as we can do, this coming season.

Ziglar gently(or boldly)reminds us that we have the choice to start saying "I'm glad I did".

Curious as to YOUR FEEDBACK on this topic.

That's my view....... What say YOU?

There was a lot of things I wish I had said/done with my mom before she passed away, that I now kick myself for never having said/done. I truely believe this, that you need to spend time with those you love, and do the things you don't have "time" to do, cuz there will come a day in your life, where you will say the same thing I am saying about my mom.

This is so true. Time goes by so fast & there is no excuse is good enough to NOT to visit the ones you love. I lost two aunts in the past two years & I have regrets for NOT visiting them. They have been so good to me & I feel I should have made a better attempt to see them.
My Mom will be 83 yrs this year. I don't see her often because we live 150 miles apart (one - way) so I call her 3 times a week! And I am so happy that I do!
Action speak louder than words! Don't forget your loved ones!

When my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer in late 1994, someone I worked with at the time told me "If you have anything to say that you haven't, you better start talking."

I reflected on that for many days and realized that the reason all I was doing was reflecting was because anything I had ever needed or wanted to say to my dad - I had already done.

It was a tremendous blessing after his passing, knowing with absolute certainty that there was nothing left unsaid between us.

When it's my mom's time - I'll know with the same certainty that there is nothing left unsaid.

I do have family that this does not apply to - and that's OK. They don't deserve that kind of intimacy with me.
