Quote #91, My Thoughts and YOUR thoughts

I love Quotes. I love them because they make me think. What does the quoter mean? Why did he/she write this? Is there a message to get through to the reader/the world? What did YOU initially think when you read it?

Here goes blog quotes #91....

"I was brought up to believe the only thing worth doing was to add to the sum of the acccurate information in the world."

-Margaret Mead-

WOW! Quite profound from Ms Mead.
Is it just me or is anyone else sick of all the BS in the world? Think about this: How would business be different if people spoke the truth( and what's really on their mind)? More here in a minute. How about POLITICS.. can you IMAGINE them all telling the truth and sharing accurate information? And life in general..When people told you something you could actually believe it to be true and accurate. IE... you could TRUST THEM. How different the world would be( in a good way).

The previous paragraph is DESERVED of pondering. It's worth a re- read. Stop back for part 2 tomorrow as I'll pick up the business part. Telling the truth to and getting it from your customers is worthy of its own blog.

Anyone care to comment on Margaret Mead's quote?

That's my view....... What say YOU?

Yes, just imagine if we were all to "truth tell"? For that to happen we would have to put our egos to the side and perhaps drop the need to please or care what others thought about us. One might think that it would be messy if we were all sharing "what's really true" BUT I'd like to imagine that being truthful and blending kindness, love and compassion along with it could be quite lovely.

It would be nice to have people tell the truth! Can you imagine what the world would be like? And the politicians speaking the truth!!! LOL If everyone spoke the truth... I'll really need a large calculator!

Dear Tim,

I get dizzy thinking about all the things I want to learn. Margaret Mead had an awesome capacity.

If we cared about others as much as we care about ourselves, we would be kind, loving, and trustworthy. This is a simple concept.

I agree with Alice. Our egos do get in the way.

Wow. What a different world this would be if everybody told nothing but the truth! How interesting!
