More Fun, less Seriousness, please...

Blog quote #728...

"Be child-like, not child-ish."
-Gail Hoofnagle-
What a superb 6 word quote. Anyone ever tell you to "Grow up?" I know I've heard it more than my fair share.
Here's the question:
Were you acting immature, kindergarden-ish or infantile? Or, were you just having fun, being a kid at heart, and acting like Dennis-the-Menace, in an adults body?
Sure, all of us need to grow older, more mature, and progressed. However I'm in the camp that everyone should keep that little kid inside, alive and kicking. Ride the bike, eat the fluffer-nutter, tell silly jokes, blow occasional bubbles through hoops, roll on the ground with the dog.
Of course, there is a time and a place for it. However, we caution not to ever lose the innate fun, laughter, and genuine innocence of the early years. Perhaps the world has gotten far too serious and needs to lighten up la bit more (like a child!)?
In fact, there are studies that kids smile something like 200 times a day where adults sport less than 20 grimaces. What's wrong with that picture?
Child-ish? Maybe not so, for us adults.  But child-like? You bet! The world needs more Willy Wonka's , Bugs Bunny's and Dr  Seuss's. Bring it on.
That's my view...what say you?
