What a great summation of the difference between just being involved and being totally 'all in', as they say in poker. To me, to be involved shows interest, but a commitment makes a statement that whatever the task is... will be completed. It means total effort. Much more sincerity. Much more of a promise. Perhaps that's why many are so scared to make commitments, whether it be a friendship, a business deal, an idea to follow through with, or even a marriage proposal. Next time you are trying to decide whether to commit or not, remember the chicken and the pig.
