On the MESSAGE- sinking through to our heads...

Blog quote #933...
"Nothing ever goes away until it teaches us what we need to know."-Pema Chodron-
Life...funny how it is always educating and teaching us, whether we realize it or not. And if you think you are stuck in a rut, with the same messages coming at you- it's  a good indication you haven't yet learned what you need to.
Just the way things work, folks...

Do you know--one of the CHIEF reasons for Failure...?

Blog quote #932...
"A good deal more failure is the result of an excess of caution than of bold experimentation with new ideas. The frontiers...were never advanced by men and women of caution." -J.Oswald Sanders-
Too cautious vs. too risky?
Isn't that SAD, and AMAZING... at the same time? Certainly something to remember  for the next time we ask "Should I do that?" (after properly weighing the pros and cons, of course.)
Today's lesson here is- we all need to consider taking on a bit more risk and go out on a limb more often...for that is where the fruit lies. And we all know- inaction, many times results in failure. Take more chances, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

Fall and Fail before SUCCEEDING...

Blog quote #931...
"You have to go through the falling down in order to learn to walk. It helps to know that you can survive it. That's an education in itself.." -Carol Burnett-
Lessons from babies! Who knew?
Funny woman Carol Burnett shares a serious message about taking your lumps and learning through experience. Surely, as one of America's funniest entertainers, she had her share of bad breaks, roadblocks, setbacks, and challenges.
Food for thought...

"Can I really do that?"

Blog quote #930...
"Never measure the height of a mountain until you have reached the top. Then...you will see how low it was." -Dag Hammarskjold-
Interesting quote from Dag. We interpreted this with a few messages. First, don't be psyched out by the looks of things. When we embark on something new, initially  we think "How the heck am I going to do that?" But once we get into action, many times it's not as hard as we imagined.(yes there are times we get in way over our head.)
Second, never underestimate the skills, talents, and what lies inside of us. We are far more capable that we'd ever realize in abilities and talents.
So, we're betting Dag says "Go for it."   How did you read this?

A quick way to UNHAPPINESS

Blog quote #929...
"Doing nothing for others, is the undoing of ourselves." -Horace Mann-

As a broad brush, generalization here, selfish people normally don't get very far in life. And even if they look successful on the outside(monetary, fame, business success), usually what's going on 'under the hood' is not pretty.
Self serving people, many times are empty inside and very unhappy. On the contrary find a giving, helping person and cheer and joy  usually follow them like a faithful dog.
Just something to think about--thanks to Mr Mann's quote of excellence.

Be careful about WASTING TIME...here is why:

Blog quote #928...
"Do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of." -Ben Franklin-

From wise ol' Ben, one of the best quotists in history.
The biggest problem we see with squandering time, is that you can 't get it back. Once it's used up or in this case, wasted or not properly utilized, it is gone forever. Money, romance, opportunities and chances... in most circumstances can be rejuvenated or won back. But father time just keeps marching on, with zero recapture rate.
Thus, like Ben, we suggest that you use your time prudently and with respect. Failure to do so will likely come with repercussions and/or regrets.

Could this be the BEST kind of DIET ever?

Blog quote #927...
"Go on a no nuts diet. Avoid people who drive you NUTS." -Karen Salmansohn-

Great advice here. Super funny and some good truth to it as well. Thank you for the creative suggestion here, Ms Salmansohn.
